Why Eat Walnuts?

Because they are delicious! Walnuts are also good for your brain and the rest of your body. Have you ever stopped to think about the resemblance food has to the human body?

The walnut for example, bears striking resemblance to the human brain, with two distinct halves inside a shell. We’re not sure why or how this happens, but research has shown that walnuts do, in fact, contribute to brain health. They contain significant amounts of Omega 3’s, which is the fat that your brain is made of. Walnuts are literally brain food!

Furthermore, the first health claim ever issued by the USDA in favor of a specific food was for walnuts. The claim reads, in part, “Supportive but not conclusive evidence shows that eating walnuts….” Walnuts are also good for your heart!

Anciently, people thought walnuts resembled male reproductive organs, so they were gifted to wedded couples for fertility.

These are just a few reasons, among many others, of why we should eat walnuts.

We’re not saying walnuts will make you smarter, lengthen your life, or increase your fertility…but we’re not saying they won’t 😊.

Please share the differences you notice in your life when you add walnuts to your diet!

Walnuts grow all around the world. California grows 99% of commercial US walnuts.
